ABOUT US

Crops is a collaboration of the 401’s most talented Barbers & Cosmetologists. Read a little about us to chose a service provider you feel most connected with.

Meet the Founders

Crops was created in 2019 by co-founders Madelyn Selwyn and Adriana Jules. Madelyn and Adriana met in Cosmetology school at the age of sixteen and went on to work together for almost a decade, meticulously saving for their dream of creating a fun and funky barbershop. In April of 2019 their dream became a reality when they signed their lease in the URI Emporium. The two still work right next to each other, sharing laughs between slaying haircuts.

Seth

Seth started as an apprentice shortly after we opened in 2019. Seth studied & shadowed tirelessly for two years before he embarked on his journey at Rob Roy to become a licensed barber in early 2021. Seth now has his own chair at Crops and specializes in fades, straight razor shaves, and perfect finishing styles. As of 2021 we are proud to call Seth a co-owner of Crops B&B.

Craig

Craig is a Wakefield-native with over 10 years in the industry. Barbering is a second career for Craig- he was itching to do something fun that would allow him to socialize more in a relaxed environment. Craig can be found at Crops in the early mornings, chatting with his guests about the New England Patriots and the trials and tribulations of grandparenting. He specializes in precision scissor cuts and classic gentleman styles.

Canonicus

Canonicus is a Narragansett Native from Charlestown, Rhode island. He is a self-taught barber who came to join us at Crops during the summer of 2021. He specializes in tight fades, tapers, and high-texture hair.

Dayshanie

Dayshanie is a student at the Met School and started interning at Crops in 2021 with a passion for braiding and protective styles. Dayshanie is currently accepting new clients for blow outs, up-do’s, and braiding services.
